Last week we got the go ahead to produce a new ad campaign for one of our outstanding clients, Creating Wellness. The challenge: we only had 7 days to get the photos we needed to communicate our top creative idea - which we dubbed “The Office” series. Of course we had a plan B (and C for that matter) but the response to The Office series concept had been high and we knew this would be a big hit.The word went out…”top models wanted for international ad campaign.” Responses poured in from local talent in Richmond, VA to Washington, DC and beyond. This is a good place to mention that we’re always looking for model and acting talent, so contact us already!Thankfully the shoot was indoors (courtesy of Business Suites West End) because it was some serious, global warming inspired madness outside. Halfway through the shoot, most of the buildings around us lost power but fate was on our side as our location had a backup generator to keep things going. All in all, it was an amazing shoot (in spite of the cheese debacle) and I’d like to thank all the wonderful people who played a part:

We’ve changed our name from WebPoint Systems to WebPoint Interactive. It was time for the next chapter of our great little company.

So here’s the story …

We’ve been thinking of changing our company name from WebPoint Systems for quite some time now - with ‘WebPoint Media’ being one of the main contenders. This was because the ‘Systems’ in WebPoint Systems just didn’t make sense any more. I chose that back when I was first starting out, believing that all I’d be doing was developing business software.

Since then we’ve branched out into creating web apps (My Wedding Hero), tons of blogging (My Wedding Hero Blog, Whats the WebPoint and more), building client web sites, print, video and hosting business seminars. Rather than just a one-trick-pony, we see ourselves as a full-service agency, run by a talented and passionate group.

If you’ve ever gone through an corporate re-branding, you know what a real challenge it can be. We considered how the name change would affect everything including our image, logo and message.

Ultimately, we decided that ‘media’ was just too flat and didn’t capture the spirit and excitement we had about our vision of the future. We wanted something that had more energy and connection with people. That’s when ‘interactive’ made its way to the top of the heap.

While the name Interactive is added to many design firms, it really seemed to fit well for us in spite of it’s use elsewhere on the net. When combined with WebPoint, it seemed to tell it’s own story. Our story. How clients can connect with our passion to develop solutions to grow their business. How customers can interact with products and brands to build strong relationships.

In the following weeks, you can expect to see the rollout of our new website and how our enthusiasm carries forward to our work for you.
